Triage

Our Triage Unit operates on a no wrong door policy, allowing anyone to walk in at any time, 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide immediate assessment and intervention to stabilize acute mental health or substance use issues, ensuring quick and effective care for all.

Temporary Observation

Our Temporary Observation Unit offers up to 24 hours of intensive care and monitoring. This short-term, person-centered approach allows our multi-disciplinary team to assess immediate needs and develop a tailored treatment plan, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Extended Observation

Our Extended Observation Unit provides comprehensive support for up to 7 days. This longer observation period allows for thorough evaluation and continuous care, helping individuals achieve stability and receive the in-depth treatment they need around the clock.

Where are you located? 

We are located behind the Wells Fargo on the corner of 15t street and Greensboro Ave.

Is there a cost?

Indian Rivers accepts various insurances, including Medicaid, some BCBS, and other commercial insurances. We also offer a sliding fee scale based on income for those who do not have insurance. No one will be turned away for inability to pay for services.

Who do you serve? 

We serve any adult experiencing a crisis. Our primary counties served include Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Pickens, Sumpter, Choctaw, Hale, Perry, Dallas, Wilcox, Marengo, and Greene counties. We have a no wrong door policy and will help anyone who walks in the door. 

Can I walk in? 

Yes, you are welcome to walk in if you are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
