A crisis can happen to any one of us at any time. Hope Pointe is here to help when you need it. Our goal is to provide comprehensive behavioral crisis intervention. 

Your path to a healthier future could begin at Hope Pointe. Behavioral crisis intervention can prevent hospitalization and stabilize people experiencing acute mental health or substance use concerns.

Hope Pointe’s crisis services include walk-in services, triage, psychiatric evaluation, consultation, assessment, and community referrals. We will welcome anyone who is seeking services and provide a warm hand-off to continued care.

Triage

Behavioral Crisis intervention can prevent hospitalization and stabilize people experiencing acute mental health or substance use concerns. Hope Pointe’s crisis services include walk-in services, triage, psychiatric evaluation, consultation, assessment, and community referrals.

Temporary Observation

The temporary observation unit provides up to 23 hours and 59 minutes of services to consumers using a person-centered approach.  These individuals will be seen by a multi-disciplinary team to assess the person's cognitive functioning and social needs to ensure the best treatment plan.

Community Resources Unit

The Community Resource Unit provides connection and referral to wrap-around services in the client's home community. Staff from the CRU will provide a warm handoff to appropriate resources and follow up with clients after referral.

Where are you located? 

We are located behind the Wells Fargo on the corner of 15t street and Greensboro Ave.

Is there a cost?

Indian Rivers accepts various insurances, including Medicaid, some BCBS, and other commercial insurances. We also offer a sliding fee scale based on income for those who do not have insurance. No one will be turned away for inability to pay for services.

Who do you serve? 

We serve any adult experiencing a crisis. Our primary counties served include Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Pickens, Sumpter, Choctaw, Hale, Perry, Dallas, Wilcox, Marengo, and Greene counties. We have a no wrong door policy and will help anyone who walks in the door. 

Can I walk in? 

Yes, you are welcome to walk in if you are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
