Dr. Jaime Garza has worked in the mental health field for over 18 years. During his career, Dr. Garza has created several nationally recognized programs for substance use treatment, helping thousands of people find and maintain their personal recovery goals. Most recently, he has stepped down as a Board member for Indian Rivers Behavioral Health to direct the new Hope Pointe Behavioral Health Crisis Care Center. Dr. Garza believes providing this resource to the West Alabama communities is a critical piece of making sure all community members have access to mental health services in times of need.

Clinical Manager

Dr. Dana Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience. She found her passion for clinical care as the Manager of Student Support Initiatives for The University of Alabama’s Student Care and Well-Being Office. During her time at UA, she also received her Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration. Dr. Williams believes that care should be client-centered and that everyone deserves dignity and respect during the therapeutic process.

Nurse Manager

A native of East Texas and a military veteran, Dr. Tristan Tave joined the Hope Pointe team in January 2023. He has over a decade of experience in mental health nursing and advanced practice. He graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2015, completed a post-graduate nurse practitioner residency with Birmingham VA Medical Center in 2016, and subsequently earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Dr. Tave is board-certified as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner across the lifespan by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Hillary Hardie MA, CRSS

Operations Manager

Hillary Hardie is a Certified Recovery Support Specialist with a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from The University of Alabama. Her experience in community-based health services has shown her the power of investing in people’s health and well-being in order to elevate the community as a whole.

Jennifer Clark

Jennifer Clark

Executive Administrative Assistant

Jennifer is a Certified Recovery Support Specialist who will be serving as the Executive Administrative Assistant for Hope Pointe. Jennifer previously worked in the finance industry before spending time as a full-time Mom. More recently, she worked for Tuscaloosa County Parks and Recreation serving as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. 

Laine Norris

QA Coordinator and Administrative Services Manager

Laine is our Quality Assurance Coordinator and Social Media Coordinator. She comes to us from The University of Alabama, where she served in both the Division of Student Life and the Division of Finance and Operations. She will focus on telling our story to the community and stakeholders through social media and data reporting.
