When adults experience mental health or substance use challenges, having access to the right support can make all the difference. Indian Rivers Behavioral Health provides compassionate, comprehensive services for adults in Tuscaloosa, Bibb and Pickens Counties to help promote stability, recovery, and long-term well-being.
Our Adult Services focus on individualized care, dignity, and collaboration, supporting each person with services tailored to their needs, goals, and circumstances.

Need Immediate Help?
If you or someone you love is experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis, immediate support is available through Hope Pointe Crisis Center, operated by Indian Rivers Behavioral Health.
Hope Pointe provides walk-in crisis care for adults 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no appointment needed.

Individuals experiencing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or mood-related challenges

Adults living with serious mental illness, including schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders

Individuals who would benefit from ongoing treatment, recovery support, or assistance with daily functioning

For individuals without insurance, a sliding fee scale is available based on income. No one is denied services due to inability to pay.

Getting started begins with an assessment to better understand your needs and determine the most appropriate level of care.

Walk-ins are accepted every weekday morning from open until 10:00 am, typically in order of arrival
Following the assessment, our team works with you to recommend services that best support your goals, which may include outpatient therapy, intensive services, or referrals to additional care when appropriate.
Resources and referrals can be provided for those seeking medication-assisted treatment. We also provide assessments and care coordination for individuals at local jails and hospitals.
