Next Steps: Start with an Assessment
Indian Rivers provides evidence-based behavioral health assessments that are recognized nationally. These assessments help determine the most appropriate level of care and guide next steps:
-
Call to schedule an appointment
-
Walk-ins are accepted every weekday morning from open until 10 am (usually accepted in order of arrival)
Following the assessment, our team works with families to recommend services that best support the child, which may include outpatient therapy, intensive services, or referrals to additional care when needed.

Intensive In-Home Services
For children and families who need a higher level of support, intensive in-home services provide therapy and care coordinaton directly in the home, school, and community.
An in-home team typically includes a master’s-level therapist and a bachelor’s-level co-therapist who work closely with the family over a focused period of time, often around 90 days. Services are designed to:
-
Reduce crisis behaviors
-
Strengthen family relationships
-
Improve daily functioning at home and school
-
Prevent out-of-home placements
Support Beyond the Clinic
Indian Rivers also works closely with hospitals, schools, and juvenile justice partners to help children and families navigate complex systems and access appropriate care.
This includes:
-
Care coordination for children involved with hospitals or juvenile courts
-
Collaboration with schools and community partners
-
Referrals to additional resources when needed
Our goal is to ensure families are not navigating these challenges alone.
